As a relatively new person to scrapbooking and limited on finances just about any and everything is great for me. Even some of us newer ones (or at least for me) some tips on some basics like picking colors and coordinating. That takes me probably the longest time, deciding on what papers/colors to use. Any tips on how to make that go faster and how to coordinate it all? The sketches have been a great tutorial for me even as that has helped me to get going on LO's. I thank all of your for your wonderful ideas for sketches!!

I would really like to see some distressing techniques. Anything from simply inking to some of the advanced stuff that I see on some people's LOs (Obviously I don't know much about it!)

Thanks!

I am interested in learning how to utilize ribbons and brads in different ways.

I think it would be nice to share some different techniques for using embelishments. Whether it would be different ways to use or repurpose items to make them more fitting with different styles, some stamping tips, paper piecing help, stuff like that. Ways to use what you already have on hand, but ways to make the older stuff we all have work now.

I would also like to learn more about distressing techniques and maybe machine sewing on layouts. I love how it looks but have been too afraid to try.

I was afraid to try sewing at first but I noticed it was about the same as sewing fabric but a little slower and also guiding it the direction you would like. I did still use the foot. I never ripped my paper. Dont be afraid to try. Practice on a peice of paper and ribbon that you may not use. Also if it wont keep sewing I used the wheel to help it out a little. (or whatever that thing is called on the side) Have fun.

I've been scrapping for a long time and in doing so have collected a lot of supplies. Of course I'm usually only anxious to use the fresh & new products. I'd love some new ideas to bring "a hearbeat and life" to older supplies that are collecting dust. hummm...I know so many of us could use help.
